Creative techniques for the passionate photographer…

Sanford clouds stackI hope you will be able to join me on one of my workshops or presentations this year! I’ll be teaching creative techniques, long exposure, infrared and ideas for creating cinemagraphs, which are very cool pictures that move! This fall I’ll be speaking at the Nature Visions Photo Expo, B&H Photo & Video Event Space, and co-leading several great location based workshops with photographers in Iceland, San Antonio, and Las Vegas. There are a few openings for Las Vegas, event and presentation information is always updated on my website.

I’ve been trying out several versions of Induro tripods over the past six months while traveling, giving them quite a workout with long exposures, videos and time-lapse. A sturdy tripod is essential for creating the type of long exposure work that I’m interested in. In the meantime, Induro has updated their line to include a new travel tripod that I checked out at NECCC in Amherst, MA where I was speaking this summer. I’m very excited this new version. Hunt’s Photo & Video has created a special rate for this tripod, which is perfect for travel and everyday (very sturdy but lightweight). Check out the CGT214  here and mention code 3nTBb for your discount, and be sure to say hi for me to the great group over at Hunt’s! For those wondering, this photo started out as a time-lapse using the Nikon D810 intervalometer (which has this amazing built in exposure smoothing feature). More info on photographic artistry in my workshops and presentations. I hope you can join me! 🙂
