The earth has music for those who listen…

Long exposure sunset at Lake Monroe,Sanford FL.

The earth has music for those who listen.
― George Santayana

Part of being a good photographer is learning to visualize the potential for conditions that will make a great photograph. For the long exposure photographer, this means getting an idea of wind direction, cloud shapes, and tide movement, and how they will progress over a long period of time, not just a fraction of a second. You become a good observer or “listener” of what the earth has to say, and you let the music guide you.
