HDR workflow, tonal architecture, and field technique

Emily Carter

Senior Photography Editor

I approach HDR from the ground up: photons, exposure latitude, contrast ratios, and the perceptual limits of print and screen. After studying visual communication at Syracuse University and editing photography features in Seattle, I help readers translate theory into field practice without losing wonder. My goal is to make dynamic range feel measurable, repeatable, and creatively alive.

B.S. Visual Communications Syracuse University former associate editor for a regional photography magazine
